Man, 34, shot in face in Syosset; police seek information

A 34-year-old man is in stable condition after police found him with a gunshot wound to the face Tuesday morning in Syosset, Nassau police said.
Around 11:10 a.m., officers responded to a call for a man in need of medical attention on the 200 block of Underhill Boulevard. Police discovered the victim, whose identity is being withheld, had sustained a gunshot wound to the face.
He was taken to a hospital, where he is in stable condition, police said.
Police did not reveal the circumstances related to the shooting or provide other details. They said the investigation is ongoing.
Detectives request anyone with information about the incident to call 1-800-244-TIPS or 911.
