Suffolk police: Woman stole $19,000 worth of silver bars, coins from Melville FedEx

Suffolk police are trying to identify a woman who they say stole $19,000 worth of silver bars and coins from Melville FedEx facility last month.
Last Thursday at about 5 p.m., a woman used a fake identification card to pick up a package from FedEx at 270 Express Dr. S. The package contained about $19,000 worth of silver bars and coins, police said.
Security footage showed the woman wearing a dark jacket, light-colored sweatpants and sunglasses.
She left the facility in a white electric Chevrolet Equinox, police said.
The incident comes five months after another woman allegedly stole another person's package, containing a watch worth $4,650, on Oct. 23, from the same facility.
Security footage showed that woman in a green shirt, Police said she stole the watch by using a fraudulent authorization form to pick up a package in someone else’s name, police said.
Suffolk County Crime Stoppers offers a cash reward for information that leads to an arrest.
