SPCA offers reward for info in Rockville Centre cat shooting

The Nassau County Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals is offering a $5,000 reward in the case of a cat that was shot and wounded in Rockville Centre.
The cat, named Tommy, was found shot and taken to a veterinary hospital for surgery to his front legs. Nassau SPCA officials believe he was shot between Saturday and Tuesday evening, they said Friday.
Nassau SPCA is offering the reward for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person responsible for Tommy’s injuries.
Witnesses and others with information should call 516-THE-SPCA. All calls will remain confidential.
