A man was seriously injured after being stabbed in the neck by a Yonkers man at a Babylon home on Friday night, Suffolk police said.
Robert Bozowski was arrested early Saturday morning in the assault that happened just before midnight at a house near the intersection of Park and Siegel avenues, police said in a news release.
Bozowski, 35, got into an argument with another man before stabbing him in the neck, according to a police spokeswoman. The victim was taken to a hospital where he remains in serious condition.
Bozowski fled the scene in his vehicle, but was pulled over on the Southern State Parkway and arrested roughly 30 minutes after the stabbing, police said. He was just west of Belmont Avenue when he was caught, police said.
Police have not identified the victim. The agency spokeswoman said he was around Bozowski’s age, that the two were not related and that the stabbing was not gang related.
Bozowski is charged with first-degree assault, as well as two counts of criminal possession of a weapon. He was held overnight and is set to appear in First District Court in Central Islip on Saturday.
