A dispute between coworkers at a Plainview warehouse Monday evening led to one man hospitalized with knife wounds and another arrested and charged, police said.

Nassau County police said officers responding to a 911 call around 7 p.m. reporting a stabbing in the parking lot of the warehouse at 170 Express Street found a 42-year-old man with what was described as "a severe laceration" to his abdomen. He was transported to an area hospital in unknown condition, though police said he is expected to recover.

Arrested at the scene was Ruqiang Xu, 53, of Queens. He was charged with first-degree assault and faces arraignment Tuesday in First District Court in Hempstead.

It was not immediately clear if he was represented by an attorney.

Police did not release details of the dispute.
