A crackdown on State Liquor Authority violators resulted in Suffolk County police issuing citations to employees at four businesses in Central Islip and Brentwood on Sunday, police said.

In each case, police said, the businesses sold alcohol to “underage police agents” and were issued field appearance tickets.

The cited businesses included the Express gas station on Islip Avenue in Brentwood, and the Speedway on Joshuas Path, the USA gas station on East Suffolk Avenue and the La Placita deli on Islip Avenue — all in Central Islip. Six other businesses complied with the law and did not make sales to the underage agent.

All of those issued appearance tickets were charged with first-degree unlawfully dealing with a child.

The appearance tickets are returnable at a later date.
