A Setauket woman facing a murder charge in the alleged fatal stabbing of a man outside the Stony Brook Yacht Club had been acquainted with the 52-year-old victim, according to a series of posts on her Facebook page.
Kacy Corso, 33, was arraigned Thursday on a single count of murder in connection with the stabbing death of Christopher Millwater of Selden at 3:40 a.m. on Nov. 10 in the parking lot of the Shore Road boat club, according to authorities. She pleaded not guilty and was remanded into custody.
Her attorney, Christopher Gioe, did not respond to calls for comment.
In posts on Facebook in July, Corso suggested that she had spurned Millwater's attempts to pursue her romantically but that he continued anyway.
According to the criminal complaint on the case, Corso "acted in concert" with another man, identified as Victor Panebiaco, 32, and "did stab Christopher Millwater multiple times with a sharp object," causing his death.
Corso blocked Millwater's car in the yacht club parking lot, trapping him, and then rammed her car into his, according to the criminal complaint.
Panebiaco, who was arrested in North Carolina in connection with the homicide, was awaiting extradition Thursday to Suffolk County. Prosecutors did not say what potential charges Panebiaco could be facing related to Millwater's death.
First responders found Millwater mortally wounded about a week and a half ago in the parking lot of the yacht club and took him to Stony Brook University Hospital, where he was pronounced dead, Suffolk County police said.
