A bank inside a Stop&Shop supermarket in Seaford was robbed Thursday afternoon, Nassau police said.
The suspect, a man in his 30s, demanded money from a teller at the Roslyn Savings Bank at 4055 Merrick Road just before 12:30 p.m. and got away with the cash, police said.
There were no customers at the time, authorities said, and the three bank employees present were not injured.
The robber wore a maroon hooded sweatshirt, dark jacket and sunglasses, police said.
Detectives from the major case bureau ask anyone with information to contact Crime Stoppers at 800-244-TIPS.
The bank spokeswoman could not be reached Thursday night, and the supermarket’s manager declined to comment.
