A Queens woman was arrested and charged with prostitution after a probe of a Lake Ronkonkoma spa, Suffolk police said Friday.
The investigation into Zhen Zhen Spa on Smithtown Boulevard sprang from “numerous community complaints,” prompting an investigation by police and Smithtown’s fire marshal and building inspector, police said.
After the massage parlor raid, police said they arrested Hua Li, 41, of Flushing at the spa at 4:15 p.m. In addition to misdemeanor prostitution, Li also was charged with a felony for the unauthorized practice of a profession.
The fire marshal also discovered numerous violations of the town code, police said.
Li’s arraignment was set for Saturday at First District Court in Central Islip.
