An East Farmingdale pharmacy was robbed for the second time since September, when two men entered the store on Route 110 Wednesday night, demanding cash and prescription drugs, Suffolk County police said.

Police said Major Case Unit detectives are investigating, but initial indications are the robberies do not appear related.

The incident took place at the County Line Pharmacy and was reported in a 911 call at 7:36 p.m.

The pharmacy was previously robbed by two men on Saturday morning, Sept. 24, police said. That robbery was at 10:30 a.m. and police said the suspects in that case were armed.

No weapon was displayed Wednesday.

There were no reported injuries.

Police said one of the suspects in the Wednesday evening robbery wore blue jeans, a dark gray hooded sweatshirt and a bandanna that covered his face. The other wore blue jeans, a light-gray hooded sweatshirt and a white scarf covering his face.

The two fled the scene, near Southern State Parkway, on foot.

Police are asking that anyone with information about the robbery call Major Case Unit detectives at 631-852-6555.
