A Uniondale Sunoco gas station on Hempstead Turnpike was robbed at gunpoint in the pre-dawn hours of Tuesday, Nassau police said.

The male worker, confronted with a ski-mask-wearing robber displaying a handgun, handed over an undetermined amount of cash, police said.

The robber, who was clad in dark clothing, then fled from the gas station in the 1200 block of Hempstead Turnpike; the direction he took is unknown, police said.

Anyone with information about the robbery should anonymously call Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 800-244-TIPS.
