Nassau County police are investigating the armed robbery of a T-Mobile store Saturday night in Freeport that authorities said could have been committed by the same people involved in similar incidents this month at cellphone stores.

There were no customers in the store Saturday and no injuries were reported.

Detectives said two men, armed with a handgun, entered the T-Mobile store at 37 W. Merrick Rd. shortly before 6:30 p.m., approached the person working there and demanded money.

The victim complied and both suspects ran south on Church Street with an undisclosed amount of cash and merchandise.

They are described as 25, standing 5-foot-8 to 5-foot-10 with thin builds and wearing black clothing.

Police said they believe the incident may be part of a robbery pattern and are investigating whether the case is related to three other cellphone store heists.

The others occurred at T-Mobile stores in Valley Stream and Hempstead on Aug. 4 and Aug. 10 and at an AT&T store on Aug. 6 in Westbury.

Detectives said anyone with information on the cases could call Crime Stoppers at 800-244-8477.
