Nassau County police said they got a call for assistance shortly before 6 p.m. Sunday from Freeport Village police, who were chasing a 2009 Subaru Forester that had been stolen days earlier.

During the pursuit, the Subaru crashed into an occupied 2012 Toyota at Uniondale Avenue and Cedar Street in Uniondale, police said.

Watts fled on foot and was arrested a few blocks away on Bedford Avenue, police said.

The 33-year-old man driving the Toyota was taken to a hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening, police said.
