Three men broke into a luxury consignment store in Syosset early Wednesday morning and stole 30 handbags valued in excess of $200,000, Nassau County police said.

The commercial burglary occurred at 3:30 a.m. at Designer Exchange on Jackson Avenue, detectives from the Second Squad said.

Authorities said three yet-unidentified men broke into the store through a side window and swiped the designer pocketbooks before fleeing northbound on Cold Spring Road in a silver or gray four-door Honda sedan.

The investigation is ongoing.

Anyone with information about the burglary is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 800-244-TIPS. All callers will remain anonymous.
