A thief stole money from four vehicles in New Hyde Park in the span of 19 hours, Nassau police said Thursday in asking for the public’s help to catch the person.

The culprit struck between 3 p.m. Tuesday and 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, and it was not immediately clear if the thief was male or female, police said.

On Campbell Street, the thief got money from a gray Ford Suburban, a gray BMW and a blue Hyundai, police said. A gray Nissan on Tulip Lane was also hit, police said.

Other details were not immediately available early Friday morning.

Third Precinct detectives ask anyone with information to call Crime Stoppers at 800-244-8477.
