Two hurt in Brentwood drive-by shooting
Two men were injured in a drive-by shooting outside a house party in Brentwood Saturday night, Suffolk police said.
The men, both 18, were standing with a large group of people outside 84 Chapel Hill Drive at about 11:10 p.m. when police said a small, dark vehicle drove by. The driver shot three bullets into the crowd, hitting the two men before driving away.
One of the men, from Bay Shore, was hit in the right arm and left leg. The other man, from Brentwood, received an injury in the right thigh.
The two were taken to Southside Hospital in Bay Shore. None of the injuries is expected to be life-threatening, police said.
The driver is not believed to be connected to the party, police said, and it is unclear whether the shooting was random or if the two men were targeted.
Police ask anyone with more information about this case to contact the Third Squad at 631-854-8352 or Crime Stoppers anonymously at 1-800-220-TIPS.
