He entered the Valley National Bank on Hillside Avenue in New Hyde Park late Monday afternoon, handed a demand note to a teller — and fled with an undisclosed amount of cash.

Now, Nassau County police are asking anyone with information about the man suspected of committing the robbery to call Crime Stoppers at 800-244-8477. All calls will remain confidential. Callers are eligible for a cash reward.

Police said the robbery occurred at 4:38 p.m. and said there were five employees inside the bank at the time, but that no customers were present. There were no injuries.

They said the suspect wore a gray hooded sweatshirt, a black baseball cap, black gloves, black cargo pants, black shoes and a dark gray scarf covering his face.
