Nassau County police Second Squad detectives began investigating an incident of vandalism in Hicksville on Friday after a woman reported that someone had smashed her car’s windshield and headlights and etched the words “Trump” and “Islam” into the car’s body.

The 28-year-old victim had parked her car in front of a home on Bobwhite Lane where, at 6 p.m., she discovered the damage, which police said amounts to $3,000.

Detectives ask anyone with information to contact Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 800-244-TIPS. All callers will remain anonymous.
