Nassau County’s Major Case Bureau is investigating a robbery in Valley Stream Thursday in which two men armed with a handgun took cellphones and cash from a Verizon store, police said.

The two suspects entered the store at 60 E. Merrick Rd. at about 7:40 p.m., approached the store clerk and demanded cellphones and money, police said.

The victim complied and the two men fled with the phones and an undisclosed amount of cash south on South Cottage Avenue toward East Lincoln Avenue, police said.

There were no customers in the store at the time of the robbery and no one was injured, police said.

Anyone with more information can call Crime Stoppers at 800-244-8477. All information will be kept confidential.
