Law enforcement authorities raided a Wading River home suspected of drug activity Thursday, arresting a couple living there and seizing heroin and marijuana, Riverhead Town police said.
Daniel W. Gennaro, 25, and his wife, Samantha R. Cotroneo, 24, of Northside Road in Wading River were charged with third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, fourth-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance, unlawful possession of marijuana and second-degree criminally using drug paraphernalia, police said.
The execution of a search warrant at the home was conducted by the East End Drug Task Force, a multiagency law enforcement unit funded by the office of Suffolk County District Attorney Thomas Spota. It took place after neighbors complained of high traffic and suspected drug activity, police said.
The couple were being held on $100,000 bail.
Their attorneys could not be reached for comment.
