Nassau police and its Crime Stoppers department are looking for a man who allegedly robbed a Franklin Square bank.

At 1:15 p.m. on May 7, the suspect entered Astoria Federal Savings Bank on 711 Franklin Ave. and passed a teller a note demanding money. The teller gave an undisclosed amount of money to the man, who then fled.

The suspect is described as 6-foot-2, about 45 years old, with a mustache and goatee, heavy build and short straight black hair. He was wearing a dark gray pullover sweatshirt, blue jeans and dark colored sneakers with white bottoms, as well as black plastic-framed sunglasses.

Anyone with information can call Crime Stoppers at its toll-free and confidential hotline: 800-244-TIPS (8477). Crime Stoppers offers up to $5,000 for information leading to an arrest.

Suffolk County police and its Crime Stoppers department are looking for a man who allegedly stole an iPhone at the Walt Whitman Shops in South Huntington.

At about 4 p.m. on March 7, police say the man walked into the Apple Store at the South Huntington mall and took a white AT&T 4S iPhone out of the display, examined it and then let the store without paying for it.
