Wanted: Stolen pacemakers; fraudulent check
Nassau police and its Crime Stoppers department are looking for medical equipment, including pacemakers, taken from a car outside North Shore University Hospital in Manhasset.
Sometime between 2:15 and 5:05 p.m. on April 26 between 2:15 and 5:05 p.m., someone smashed the driver-side rear window on the victim's vehicle and stole medical equipment including 12 pacemakers, two pacemaker programmers, a pacemaker analyzer and 15 pacemaker leads. In all, the equipment had an estimated value of $245,150.
Crime Stoppers asks anyone who has any information about the crime to call the confidential hotline at 800-244-8477.

Suffolk police and its Crime Stoppers department are looking for a suspect they say cashed a fraudulent check at a Deer Park bank.
Police say that on Dec. 22, the suspect, seen above in a frame from a Bank of America surveillance video, deposited the fraudulent check made out for $10,000 in an account, and withdrew the money.
Anyone with information may contact Crime Stoppers at 800-220-8477. All calls will be kept confidential.
There is a cash reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to an arrest.
