Nassau County police are looking for a knife-wielding masked bandit who took cash Monday from a West Hempstead liquor store then rode off on a silver bicycle.

Police said the robbery was at about 4:25 p.m. at the SK 168 Wine & Liquor store at 500 Hempstead Tpke.

A man with a knife demanded money from the clerk, who complied, police said.

The suspect, with an undisclosed amount of cash, then fled on a silver bike, riding toward Nassau Boulevard.

No customers were in the store at the time of the robbery and no injuries were reported, police said.

The suspect is about 25 to 30 years old and wore a ski mask, a purple T-shirt and bluejeans, police said.
