West Hempstead store has 122 lottery tickets stolen, cops say
Police are asking for help finding the man who they say robbed a West Hempstead store of 122 scratch-off lottery tickets and an undisclosed amount of cash on Tuesday afternoon.
Authorities say the man entered the Four Seasons Card Shoppe at 372 Hempstead Ave. around noon and flashed a silver handgun in front of a 65-year-old clerk.
The suspect then fled on foot, heading northeast onto Hempstead Ave.
No one was injured in the incident.
The suspect is 18 to 20 years old with a thin build, police said.
