Westbury man charged in bar shooting

Nassau Police arrested and charged a Westbury man in connection with a Saturday morning shooting at a Hempstead bar.

Devon Barrett, 18, of Bramble Lane, shot three men after a fight at the Rumba Sky bar on Franklin Avenue at 3:32 a.m. Saturday, police said. The victims are in stable condition.

Barrett faces two counts of first-degree assault and one count each of first-degree criminal use of a firearm, first-degree reckless endangerment and second-degree criminal possession of a weapon. He is due to be arraigned Sunday at First District Court in Hempstead.
