Westbury man found with drugs in traffic stop, State Police say

A Westbury man was arrested and charged with drug possession after a traffic stop Thursday afternoon in Wyandanch, State Police said.
Marco T. Cashman, 26, was charged with fourth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, fifth-degree criminal possession of marijuana and unlawful possession of marijuana, police said.
Police said Cashman was driving his 1997 Saturn when he committed an undisclosed traffic violation on the westbound Southern State Parkway near Exit 36S, leading to the stop on southbound Straight Path.
The drugs were discovered during the ensuing investigation, police said.
Police said Cashman is scheduled for arraignment Friday in First District Court in Central Islip.
