A Wheatley Heights man has been charged with raping two 14-year-old girls whom he allegedly communicated with through the social media app Snapchat between December 2024 and June 2025.

Kemuel St. Juste, 26, was arraigned on Feb. 13 before Judge Karen M. Wilutis on three counts of second-degree rape, one count of second-degree attempted rape and two counts of endangering the welfare of a child, Suffolk County District Attorney Ray Tierney announced on Wednesday.

"The charges detail a disturbing pattern of grooming and sexual assault against vulnerable minors, whom he is alleged to have manipulated," Tierney said in a statement. "Our office is committed to ensuring that he is held fully accountable and that these young victims receive the justice they deserve."

St. Juste’s attorney, Scottie Celestin, was not immediately available for comment.

In December 2024, St. Juste used the handle "k3mnyy" to allegedly communicate with a 14-year-old girl on Snapchat, prosecutors said.

Snapchat is a social media app where messages and photos, or "snaps," are typically only accessible for a brief period before recipients can no longer access them.

On Dec. 27, 2024, St. Juste met the teenager at a T.J. Maxx in South Setauket where he allegedly abused her in a bathroom, according to prosecutors. Then, in early January 2025, St. Juste allegedly picked up the teen from her middle school and abused her again in the back seat of his car, the prosecutors said.

On another occasion that month, when the child asked him to get a pregnancy test for her, he allegedly attempted to abuse her again, Tierney said.

Shortly after, the child told her mother she believed she was pregnant, prosecutors said. In February 2025, the girl made a report to police.

In June 2025, St. Juste allegedly approached another 14-year-old girl at the beach at Smith Point County Park and asked her to add him on Snapchat using the same handle, "k3mnyy," according to prosecutors.

On June 28, St. Juste drove the alleged victim to a parking lot in Port Jefferson, where he abused her, prosecutors said. At the time, St. Juste knew the victim was a sophomore in high school, Tierney said.

In January, the second victim made a report to police.

Police linked St. Juste to both reports through the user name, prosecutors said.

Wilutis ordered St. Juste held on $750,000 cash, $3 million bond or a $7.5 million partially secured bond for the duration of the case.

He is due back in court on March 25 and faces 7 years in prison if convicted on the top count.

Police ask anyone who believes their child has been a victim of the defendant, or who otherwise recognizes the Snapchat handle "k3mnyy," to call Crime Stoppers at 800-220-8477.

Protecting children online

  • For younger children, the U.S. Department of Homeland Security recommends parents or guardians warn them against clicking on pop-ups.
  • The DHS also says children should be told to never share passwords, addresses or personal information with people they don’t know online.
  • For adolescents and teenagers, the agency advises parents or guardians to instruct them on the ways to set up privacy controls on their devices, like restricting apps’ location access, to protect against online predators. Explain the warning signs that characterize online predators.
