Woman attacked and robbed in Freeport
A woman walking in Freeport Friday night was robbed and assaulted, and police are asking for help in finding the attacker
Police said the woman was walking near 25 Pine St. about 8:15 p.m. when a man grabbed her pocketbook and threw her to the ground. The man then punched and kicked her, police said, and when she fought back, the man pulled out a knife and then fled on foot.
The suspect is described as a large man between 20 and 25 years old who is between 6-foot-1 and 6-foot-5 inches tall. He appeared to be balding and has two pierced eyebrows, two pierced nostrils, a pierced left ear, police said.
