A woman who was high on drugs and texting while driving rear-ended a police car and then another vehicle, Suffolk County police said Sunday.

The collision occurred Sunday at 12:30 p.m. on Udall Road at Higbie Lane in West Islip. The woman, heading south, struck the police car and then another car directly in front of the police car, police said.

The woman’s vehicle then went through a fence and into a vacant commercial structure, police said.

The male police officer was treated for minor injuries at Southside Hospital in Bay Shore, police said, while the driver of the other car was uninjured.

Police said the unidentified woman who caused the crash was charged with driving while ability impaired by drugs and taken to the Third Precinct. Police said she was uninjured.
