A woman was found dead Sunday afternoon in an East Norwich apartment of undisclosed injuries and police are investigating her death as a homicide, police said.
Police responded to Pine Hollow Road about 1:40 p.m. for “an aided case,” police said. When they entered the apartment, they discovered the woman’s body, police said.
There was also a man in the apartment at the time who was taken to the hospital for nonlife-threatening injuries, police said. Police would not describe the relationship between the two.
A police spokesman would not say whether the man was under arrest or was a suspect, but said: “There is no threat to the public.”
Det. Lt. Richard LeBrun, commanding officer of the public information office, would not answer questions about the homicide Sunday night.
The investigation is ongoing, police said.
