A hit-and-run driver killed an elderly woman crossing a street in Roslyn Heights Monday, Nassau police said.

A person driving a light-colored car eastbound on Warner Avenue near Carlisle Place about 4:45 p.m. struck the woman as she crossed the street and then struck a parked car before fleeing the scene, police said.

The victim's identity was withheld pending notification of relatives.

Detectives are asking anyone with information to contact Crime Stoppers at 800-244-TIPS. All callers will remain anonymous.
