Wyandanch pedestrian injured by hit-run driver, police say
A pedestrian was hurt by a hit-and-run driver early Saturday morning in Wyandanch, Suffolk County police said.
Police said the pedestrian was struck at Merritt Avenue at Straight Path by a sedan at about 12:30 a.m. The driver fled, and the victim was taken to Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center in West Islip and treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
No arrests have been made, police said. The First Precinct Crime Section is investigating.
