Investigators are searching for a driver who hit three vehicles at a Long Island Expressway construction detail Monday night in Yaphank, then abandoned the car — and fled on foot.

Suffolk County police said the incident occurred on the eastbound on-ramp at Exit 66, Sills Road, at 9:04 p.m.

There were no known injuries.

Police could not immediately say if the vehicles hit were construction vehicles or those belonging to crew members.

The extent of the damage was not immediately clear.

Sixth Squad crime section detectives are investigating.
