February 2019 unemployment rates for LI

Long Island's unemployment rate for February 2019 was 3.7 percent, down 1.1 percentage points from a year ago, the state Department of Labor reports. The rate in Southampton Town fell the most, 1.6 percentage points down to 5.6 percent, followed by Hempstead Village, down 1.4 percentage points to 5.4 percent. The state rate was down 0.7 percentage points to 4.4 percent.
