Police diver finds man dead in storm basin off LIE in Old Westbury
The body of a missing 73-year-old man was found Tuesday, submerged in a storm basin by the Long Island Expressway in Old Westbury, Nassau police said.
Nassau police divers found the body of the missing man, who was not identified, on Tuesday after police located his vehicle parked nearby.
The man was pronounced dead at the location, the eastbound South Service Road, west of Exit 39, at about 9 a.m.
The Old Westbury police department had sought help from the Nassau police emergency services unit and marine bureau.
No further details were released; though homicide detectives are investigating.
