DWI charge after car hits Hicksville house

A Bethpage woman was arrested and charged with drunken driving after her car crashed into the front of a house in Hicksville early Sunday morning, Nassau police said.
The 25-year-old woman, who was not identified, was driving alone in a Nissan sedan when it crashed into the front of a home on South Oyster Bay Road about 2:30 a.m., police said.
The woman was taken to a hospital, where she was admitted for treatment of injuries.
Police said the woman was charged with DWI. No one in the home was hurt but there was major damage to the front of the house.
There was no immediate no word on when the woman will be arraigned.
