An unidentified man found critically injured in an East Patchogue parking lot last week has died, Suffolk County police said Thursday.

The man's death is not believed to be suspicious but police are asking for the public’s help identifying him. He had been hospitalized in critical condition since officers responding to a 911 call June 17 found him with a head injury in a parking lot at 770 Montauk Highway, police said.

Police estimated his age to be between 30 and 40 years of age. He is 5-3, 146 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes, police said. In a police sketch the man has a mustache. He was wearing black sweatpants, a gray sweatshirt, and black Nike sneakers, according to police.

Police did not comment on why they believe the cause of death was noncriminal.
