Hundreds of students, teachers and other supporters from five financially struggling Long Island school districts demonstrated Tuesday in Mineola to underline their fight for additional state financial aid. District leaders demanded added support from Albany, while students protested what they described as overcrowded classes and curtailed school schedules.
