A 92-year-old man died Friday after the SUV he was driving hit a car and rolled over in Rockville Centre, Nassau County police said.

The name and hometown of the dead man were not immediately released.

The man was driving a 2017 Nissan SUV north on Peninsula Boulevard at 9:49 a.m. when he hit a 2010 Lexus sedan at the intersection of North Village Avenue causing the rollover, police said in a news release. The driver of the Nissan was taken to a hospital where he was pronounced deceased.

The driver of the Lexus and an occupant in the sedan were stopped at a traffic signal when the collision happened, police said. Both were taken to a hospital for treatment of minor injuries, police said.

Police said no criminality is suspected.
