One person was taken to a hospital after a fire broke out at a Roslyn Heights home Sunday night, the Nassau County Fire Marshal’s Office said.
Around 11 p.m., the Albertson Fire Department responded to a call of a two-story single-family house fire on Schoolhouse Lane.
About 75 firefighters, including members of the Roslyn Rescue, Roslyn Highlands, East Williston, Williston Park, and Carle Place fire departments, brought the fire under control within an hour, authorities said.
Firefighters led the three residents from the burning home; one occupant was taken to a hospital for treatment of smoke inhalation, the fire marshal's office said.
A firefighter was evaluated at the scene.
Authorities determined the home was uninhabitable, displacing three residents.
The fire marshal's office and Nassau police are investigating the cause of the fire.
