After getting though heat, humidity and rain this week, Long Islanders should get a chance to enjoy some beautiful summer weather over the next few days.

After some partly cloudy skies Thursday night, Friday will be sunny with a high temperature of around 82 degrees, according to the National Weather Service. The average high for the date in Islip is 83 degrees.

Friday, a north wind of 6 to 9 mph is expected.

Friday night should be mostly clear with a low temperature of about 67 degrees.

Saturday, Sunday and Monday are all expected to be mostly sunny with high temperatures in the low to mid 80s.

The possibility of rain only enters the weather picture Monday night into Tuesday morning with a 30% chance of showers after 2 a.m.

Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday also all have chances of raid, the weather service said.
