Funeral arrangements for NYPD officer
The NYPD on Monday released funeral arrangements for Officer Patrick Luca, 41, of Smithtown, who drowned in a kayaking accident Friday in Smithtown Bay.
Det. William Winning said viewing will be Monday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Tuesday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. at St. James Funeral Home, south chapel, 829 Middle Country Rd. in St. James.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated Wednesday at 9:45 a.m. at St. Patrick's Roman Catholic Church, 280 E. Main St., Smithtown.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Patrick Luca Memorial Fund, Winning said.
