Hicksville bank robbed at gunpoint, police say
Nassau County Major Case Bureau detectives are looking for a man who used a handgun to rob a bank in Hicksville on Monday.
Police released photographs of the suspect, who wore a New York Yankees baseball cap and dark glasses when he took an unspecified amount of cash from the Bank of America, 20 Jerusalem Ave., at 2:06 p.m.
Detectives said the suspect approached a female teller while displaying a black handgun and verbally demanded cash.
After getting the money, he then fled on foot.
There were six employees and three customers in the bank at the time of the robbery; no injuries were reported.
