Food-safety inspections at Long Island school cafeterias

Newsday has compiled a database with school cafeteria inspection reports from January 2017 through December 2023.

The searchable database contains information for schools in Nassau and Suffolk counties participating in the National School Lunch Program. The State Department of Health posts Nassau County data through its open data portal. Newsday obtained Suffolk County inspection data from the Suffolk County Department of Health through the Freedom of Information Law. 

The database can be searched by school or school district.
