A Lindenhurst woman was charged Wednesday with holding up the same convenience store in her neighborhood twice in three months, Suffolk police said.
Leana Anderson, 28, was arrested after she wielded a knife while robbing The Barn on Wellwood Avenue in Lindenhurst Wednesday, police said.
Anderson demanded cash from an employee, then opened the register, stole money and ran away south on Straight Path, police said.
During an air and ground search, K-9 unit Officer Mark Sacco and his canine partner Bosco tracked the suspect to an area near 52nd Street two blocks away, where Anderson lives, police said.
Anderson was arrested at her home, police said, and an investigation revealed she had robbed the same store on Oct. 20.
Police declined to say how they connected Anderson to the holdups.
Anderson was charged with two counts of first-degree robbery and held at the Fourth Precinct overnight for arraignment Thursday, police said.
