A dense fog advisory for Long Island has expired, but LaGuardia Airport Monday afternoon was still experiencing some flight arrival delays of up to an hour and a half, according to the Federal Aviation Administration.

For the most part, flights at both Kennedy and MacArthur airports were back to normal, following some earlier weather-related delays, the FAA reported on its website.

As for the forecast, there's a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms after noon Monday, forecasters said.

Some of those storms "could produce heavy rain," the weather service said. Otherwise it will be mostly cloudy with temperatures in the upper 60s to low 70s.
