A 34-year-old landscaper was electrocuted by a power line while trimming a tree in Glen Head on Friday afternoon, Nassau County police said.

The victim, whose name was not released, was cutting a branch with a chain saw at a construction site shortly before 4:15 p.m. when he was shocked. A 51-year-old co-worker who tried to help him was injured.

The landscaper was pronounced dead by a Nassau County Police Medic. His co-worker suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to a hospital. No other information was released.
