Suffolk County Police Det. William Maldonado was recognized posthumously at the third annual Attorney General’s Award for Distinguished Service in Policing on Tuesday in Washington, D.C. Attorney General William Barr honored Maldonado, who lost his three-year battle with colon cancer in April 2018.
