NORTH PATCHOGUE / Home mover crashes
A vehicle towing a mobile home hit a guardrail Monday morning, sending the mobile home onto its side and closing northbound North Ocean Avenue in North Patchogue, a Suffolk police spokeswoman said.
About 7:25 a.m., police received a call that a vehicle transporting a mobile home hit the rail on North Ocean Avenue near the eastbound service road to Sunrise Highway, the spokeswoman said. "It looks like the vehicle transporting the mobile home went into the guardrail and the mobile home overturned," she said.
Police closed northbound North Ocean Avenue about 8:20 a.m. as crews worked to rectify the situation, she said.
The road reopened to traffic about 10 a.m., police said. No injuries were reported.
