Bay Shore

A Wyandanch woman, 29, was arrested April 11 at the Sears store on Route 27 and charged with petty larceny for stealing shoes.

Brentwood

A burglary was discovered April 13 at a residence on Riddle Street. Entry was gained through an unlocked second-floor window. Assorted items, including televisions, were reported stolen.

A Freeport man, 24, was arrested April 11 at the Pathmark supermarket on Wicks Road and charged with petty larceny for stealing a razor and a bottle of pills.

Centereach

The rear door at Torres Mini Market on Middle Country Road was pried open during an apparent burglary attempt April 12. The door was damaged, but nothing was reported stolen.

Central Islip

A log splitter was reported missing April 12 from the parking lot of Muffler Man on East Suffolk Avenue.

Copiague

An Amityville woman, 45, was arrested April 11 at Great Neck and East roads and charged with petty larceny for stealing merchandise from the Rite Aid pharmacy on Montauk Highway.

Deer Park

A fire was set in the storage area of a commercial structure owned by Mikim Industries on Jefryn Boulevard on April 11.

East Islip

The front glass of A & M Grocery

& Deli on Connetquot Avenue was smashed during a burglary April 13, activating the store's alarm. Cash was stolen from the register.

Hauppauge

The passenger-side window of a 2006 GMC on Walter Avenue was discovered smashed April 11. A pair of pajamas, a book and sunglasses were reported stolen.

A laptop was reported stolen April 12 from a room at the Hauppauge District Office on Veterans' Memorial Highway.

Holbrook

Mailboxes located at three houses on Nimbus Road were broken April 12.

Holtsville

The rear glass door of a residence on Union Avenue was broken April 13. A TV, laptop and jewelry were reported stolen.

Islandia

A Holbrook woman, 36, was arrested April 12 at the Wal-Mart store on Route 454 and charged with petty larceny for stealing assorted items of clothing.

Islip

An air compressor was stolen from a residence on Maddox Avenue April 11 and later recovered.

A 2002 Toyota parked on Beech Road was discovered stolen April 12.

Islip Terrace

The stereo of a vehicle parked on Sea Cliff Street was stolen April 11.

Lindenhurst

Hydrangea bushes were stolen from the front yard of a house on South Broadway on April 12.

North Amityville

A 2003 Mercedes on Brefni Street was stolen April 12.

North Babylon

A metal chain on a dumpster located at S & S Fuel on Falmouth Road was broken April 12.

Ronkonkoma

A resident of the Lake Shore Adult Home on Lake Shore Road reported April 12 that jewelry was missing from the resident's room.

Sayville

An unattended bicycle was stolen from in front of Chase Bank on Main Street on April 11.

West Babylon

An incident of criminal mischief to a 2009 Nissan parked on 18th Street occurred April 12.

Landscaping equipment was stolen from a trailer parked in the yard of Joe's Auto Repair on Route 109 April 13.

West Islip

An incident of criminal mischief to a fence occurred at the Udall Road Junior High School on April 11.

Wyandanch

A Wyandanch man, 21, was arrested April 11 at a deli on Merritt Avenue and charged with assault, second degree for cutting another individual with a broken beer bottle.

Commack

A Huntington Station woman, 30, was arrested at the Kohls store on Crooked Hill Road April 11 and charged with petty larceny for stealing items of clothing.

Melville

Two trumpets and their cases were stolen from a Jeep Wrangler parked in the lot at Arboretum Park on Threepence Drive on April 12.

Yaphank

A pit bull puppy was stolen from a residence on Paine Commons on April 12. The puppy was recovered.
